Ever since I saw Laura Heine’s cool animal collage quilts, I’ve wanted to try one of my own. I decided I wanted to put a different slant on my goat so I placed it in a whimsical landscape rather than a realistic landscape. I traced my enlarged drawing on Pattern Ease, as Laura suggests, and it works really well. I used my own methods to create the goat, however. Hopefully, I get this quilt sandwiched and quilted soon. I see many more quilts of this type in my future as they are really a hoot to create. Our doggie, Blondie, is probably next!
