I was inspired by a watercolor painting I saw in a book to create this quilt. I began designing it in a workshop with Natalie Sewell. The fence posts and gate were originally white fabric and I shaded them with fabric markers and colored pencils. I rubber stamped the leaves that appear over the top of the gate and used a thick thread to machine embroider the vines.
